Star Wars fans are likely pretty eager to whet their appetite with the upcoming beta for Star Wars Battlefront 2 launching later this week. To access the newly updated multiplayer all you need is a copy of Battlefront 2 on PC and have the aforementioned update installed. Now, a 3.2GB update is available on Steam and GOG that restores server access and allows seamless crossplay between both services. Official support for Battlefront 2 was shut down by Gamespy in 2014, although fans have continued to keep it alive with unofficial servers and user-created mods.
